Observations
Sep. 18th, 2003 09:31 amI can stop partway through a transformation. I've done it three times. (Out of 116, I think, counting both directions.)
I am not good at it. I held it once for two seconds and once for about thirty before losing control and completing it. The third time, it was hard for about two minutes and then I got stuck with fur and all my joints from elbows and knees out gone wolf, and my shoulders and hips sort of halfway there. (Only for a few hours this time. Thankfully. Obviously I changed back eventually or I couldn't type.)
I have no idea why rearranging my skeleton doesn't hurt much, but I'm very grateful.
Changing that many times makes me hungry.
Smelling food is apparently a very good way to get unstuck, which probably means I wasn't trying hard enough before.
I will not try to change from wolf to human and stop partway in public unless I absolutely have to, or am very sure I can stop with all my fur on, and probably not then either.

Date: 2003-09-18 08:28 pm (UTC)I wonder if there's something we can make that'd help you practice, like when my parents had me read two different books at once. Maybe if we made an alarm clock, or something, where the alarm was one of those noises wolves can hear but people can't, but it needed fingers to shut off, and we hid it somewhere? I could probably figure out how to rig something like that if you wanted.
