Marie did this, and it seemed like a good idea....

8:00 -- Psychic Defence
9:15 -- World History
10:00 -- Literature
10:45 -- Field Medicine
11:30 -- Lunch
12:30 -- Latin
1:15 -- Trigonometry (2nd term)
2:00 -- Sociological Implications of Mutation

I'm not sure if I'll understand this last one at all, but I think it's required after finishing Mutant Acceptance, and now I have.

I don't fit any of the mutant training classes either. Would it count if I went as a wolf and played with the bairns a bit each afternoon, then?

I wish they hadn't put Sociological Implications the same time as the communications class. Wanted to take both but I'm not sure if they'd believe I could pay good attention in two classes at once--eh, they had it during the summer, I figure they'll have it again and maybe it won't clash with something I really want to take.

Looks like a lot of us are in Psychic Defense. I hope Lorna doesn't mind not having many people in her cooking class. :) And my mom showed me a little calculus last year when she was teaching me algebra, she said it was faster but I had to learn the hard way first. It looked pretty much like taking a lot of shortcuts.

Do you really need mutant training class? I mean, you turn into a wolf, you turn back, you don't do it when you don't want to . . . you and me pretty much got low-maintenance powers, I think. Or, anyway, you got a low-maintenance one and my mom and dad figured out the hard stuff for mine already. So we can kick back, grab some lemonade, and relax while we watch people fly into trees or zap the wrong thing. Sound good? :)

Could you go to both anyway? Or would they tell you to go away?

I'd have liked to take cooking, but 'tis something else I can practice without a class, and I thought maybe it would be good for me to have Ms. Braddock teach me psychic defence as well.

Mine's very simple really, that's true. It was strange getting used to being a wolf, but I don't think I'm dangerous to anybody or anything.

I do rather like playing as one, though, really. Do you think anyone minds? I think someone said it was all right, but then there were the things about not experimenting unsupervised, and I do new things once in a while.

Dunno. I think they might think the homework load would be a problem.

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what I thought.

Also I've never really been sure what Ms. Frost saw inside my head the first couple of sessions over the summer.

And of course you're not dangerous to anybody. Nobody's said you are, have they?

I know the kids really like it. :) What kinds of new things?

Oh. If you only signed up for one and went to listen quietly to the other, would you still have to do homework?

I could... I think I could ask Professor Xavier for you, if you want. He seems... nice, I suppose. I don't think he'd be angry.

Also I've never really been sure what Ms. Frost saw inside my head the first couple of sessions over the summer.

I'm pretty sure of some of what she saw in mine, and I don't think it was very polite. She laughed at it.

And of course you're not dangerous to anybody. Nobody's said you are, have they?

Well, not really since I first changed and nobody could tell I could still think and didn't want to hurt anyone. Professor Logan told me I could be. What I meant was, I don't think there's anything my... power can do that could hurt somebody by accident without meaning to.

...I suppose I could run into someone without looking and knock them down, but that's hardly restricted to wolves.

I know the kids really like it. :)

I think they do. :)

What kinds of new things?

Oh... just ones I haven't tried before... like jumping high or off or over things, or carrying the really wee ones on my back. Or tracking by scent, a bit.... I ken what everyone nine years or younger here smells like, I think.

Maybe not, but what if the homework helps me understand what the teacher's talking about?

I could... I think I could ask Professor Xavier for you, if you want. He seems... nice, I suppose. I don't think he'd be angry.

Aw, you don't have to do that. :) I'll ask him myself if I decide to.

I'm pretty sure of some of what she saw in mine, and I don't think it was very polite. She laughed at it.

Yeah, well, it was probably less embarrassing.

What I meant was, I don't think there's anything my... power can do that could hurt somebody by accident without meaning to.

Well, no, I doubt it. I mean, yeah, if you bit somebody when you were a wolf, you could probably hurt them, but everybody knows you wouldn't do that, unless maybe they were trying to hurt somebody else.

Oh... just ones I haven't tried before... like jumping high or off or over things, or carrying the really wee ones on my back. Or tracking by scent, a bit.... I ken what everyone nine years or younger here smells like, I think.

Oh, cool. I bet 'Yana smells like cookies a lot. :)

Can you have two of you do different homework, too? But at any rate, you'd understand it better if you listened and didn't do homework than if you didn't do either, I'd think. Perhaps not.

I can always let you see my notes for it.

Yeah, well, it was probably less embarrassing.

I thought she should be embarrassed about some things, and she wasn't. That was about it.

if you bit somebody when you were a wolf, you could probably hurt them

I'd hope so! I mean, not that I want to hurt anyone, of course, but 'twould be very odd if my teeth went all rubbery or something....

I bet 'Yana smells like cookies a lot. :)

*giggles* I wonder if I should try to learn what everyone else smells like too. ...I'm not sure some people would want me to come and smell them, though.

Of course, there are some people who smell like things even without being a wolf...

Oh, yeah, I do that all the time. And have two of me do the same homework, sometimes. Mostly for papers. I can have one of me looking up references, which saves the other me from having to stop typing.

I can always let you see my notes for it.

Thanks. :) Probably a lot easier to understand than Kitty's Physics notes, although watching her prove the textbook wrong in the margins is really funny.

I thought she should be embarrassed about some things, and she wasn't. That was about it.

Yeah, like Jono's party pictures. Yikes.

I'd hope so! I mean, not that I want to hurt anyone, of course, but 'twould be very odd if my teeth went all rubbery or something....

But then we could market you as being safe for children under four! You're already too big for them to try and swallow, so babyproof teeth would be the finishing touch.

(I'm teasing. :))

Of course, there are some people who smell like things even without being a wolf...

Hey, I took a shower. ;)

That would be a hearty no, Jamers. And given that you can already cook, I think what I'm going to be doing in cooking will be a bit simple for you.

We have some classes together. That's pretty cool. I didn't want to take Latin because I was afraid it might involve togas. I don't like togas.

From: [identity profile] x-rahne.livejournal.com
Yes, we do.

What's wrong with togas? Except that apparently they could be very awkward to wear.

But we don't do anything with them, except when they're in pictures. 'Tis a language course, really. And Lorna isn't teaching it. ;)

Togas scare me. I'll stick with English.

I don't think Kurt is going to try to make any of us wear togas.

Anyhow, you were supposed to be a Roman citizen to wear one, I think. Much as you aren't supposed to wear a tartan if you're not related properly to the clan.

We have lit class together!

I wish I didn't have to take a training class....you get to get out of classes before everyone else...*pout*

I'm certain I would if I fit into any of them, but what can they do? I can hardly practice changing to and fro in a class, and I can run about as a wolf without one.

This is true, perhaps now you can get in on Marie's class thingie.
