Feeding People
Mar. 1st, 2005 02:42 pmWhat with the state of the main kitchen and the food previously stored in it, Lorna's been making alternative arrangements....
The mini-kitchens are going to be busy. Somebody is, I think, going grocery shopping with an eye to food that doesn't require anything more elaborate than we can do right now. (Actually, I think somebody already went. I might be on another trip later if the medlab is sufficiently reassembled.)
I'm also going to be seeing if the deer are back.
I went outside for a little while last night, and there are weird smells all over. Most of the smaller animals have run off. (Wee bit eerie without them, really.) Given the general lack of sense (or excess of overcrowding) the deer around here seem to have, I think they'll be back sooner. I'm planning to go out and look tonight, see if I can get one.
Kyle, if you want, I'll come wake you up if it looks promising. :)
So, er, since the mini-kitchens are perhaps not best equipped to cook a large amount of venison, and I sort of doubt most of you want it raw... I assume there are alternative arrangements being made too, but I know from Asgard at least some of you can cook it over an open fire. Is there a good place for one here?
