All right, Kyle... ten things I've learned since I got here

1. A lot of people don't know how to prepare oatmeal properly, but like it once they find out.
2. Many mutant powers make people hungry.
3. I can break bones with my teeth.
4. Asgard exists.
5. It's easier to talk about important things to the prince of the wolves in Asgard than to pretty much anybody here.
6. Deer are beautiful, graceful, fierce creatures with wildly varying intelligence. They are also tasty.
7. Real Catholics believe a lot more of the same things I do than I used to think, but aren't as strict about others as I used to think, either.
8. People can do a lot of things I don't agree with and still be trustworthy and good company.
9. There are many good times not to say anything.
10. Sometimes it is right to fight, or at least better than not fighting.

1: You know, for as much as I joke about oatmeal being the plastic of foods (really, it's a standard base and you can use it in anything) - I have not figured how you can make yours taste not like sludge-in-a-box that happens every time I try and microwave up some.

1. For one thing, I do not microwave it unless I have a good reason to sacrifice taste for speed. Some things I don't mind microwaving, but oatmeal tastes better if cooked slower, especially if you're going to stop there and eat it by itself.

2, 3. Er... I didn't think I was frightening. But they weren't exactly meant to follow, except that I can break deer bones on purpose. I noticed #2 when almost all of a deer disappeared at dinner the night after the last time the school was attacked. (I, er, think the first time the school was attacked when I was here, I did crack somebody's bone, but it was sort of an accident and didn't do any good anyway.)

9. Unfortunately they don't seem to come in regular schedules.

I don't think you're... okay, "frightening" isn't a good word. I know you're not some monster under the bed coming to eat us all in our sleep. It's just... kind of weird to realize that one of the only classmates I have who's smaller than me can probably chuck me over her head and bite my good foot off if I get her riled up.

I don't actually... I wouldn't want to hurt anybody. I do think I should start taking the Self Defence course again. I stopped as soon as I had the chance, back when Mr. Logan was teaching it, but... I have the feeling I've learned just enough to get myself in trouble with anybody who's not a deer.

Wish there was a way to send you back for the occasional visit. Probably wouldn't be a very good idea even if there was a decent chance it was possible, though--Loki's probably a little ticked that we messed up his revenge, and the Enchantress is probably a whole lot ticked about the whole trashing her place thing. But I still wish we could.

I know a lot of people didn't have a very good experience there. But the part I landed in really was lovely.

Hm. I'm... thinking it didn't seem so much like you did right when you got back, but I wouldn't necessarily have known accurately.

Aside from whatever my observation skills are usually like, I kept being distracted by having hands and no fur.

I've been through a lot between then and now.

Asgard - is a simpler place. More direct, more honest. I find more and more that I prefer it. But then again, I'm the one that none save one trusts and very few like, so perhaps this may be understandable.

A lot of things seemed simpler... though I think there were a lot of complications that just happened not to be happening when and where I was.

Well, Kitty's parents had yanked her back home to Chicago at the beginning of the summer, so she was about two months gone, or so, when Asgard happened and tacked on another three months to the lack of fun. For me, anyway. Time dilation sucks.

Hrimhari is pretty much Rahne's story to tell, if she wants.
